King Drosselbart by the Brothers Grimm
Image description
King Drosselbart by the Brothers Grimm. German authors of fairy tales and folksongs based on pre-Christian Germanic mythology. Jacob: 4 January 1785-20 September 1863. Wilhelm: 24 February 1786-16 December 1859. Illustration by Oskar Herrfurth, German artist: 5 February 1862-1934. Depicts the princess breaking the pots which contained leftover food for her and husband. The prince reveals he is King Drosselbart, and was pretended to be the Hussar and the minstrel, to win her love and to humble her. '
