Antonia Fraser (born 1932) Noted biographer, historian and crime writer. Made her name with Mary Queen of Scots (1969). Her many other books include Cromwell, Our Chief of Men (1973), The Weaker Vessel: Woman's Lot in Seventeenth-century England (1984), The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1999), Marie Antoinette (2001), Love and Louis XIV. and her account of her marriage to Harold Pinter, Must You Go? (2010). She has won numerous awards and was made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in 2011.
