Description
Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle (1890-1970) was a French general and statesman who led the Free French Forces during World War II. He later founded the French Fifth Republic in 1958 and served as its first president from 1959 to 1969. Colonel Gaston de Bonneval (1912-98) French resistance fighter and General de Gaulle's Aide de Camp from 1945. Pierre Guillaumat (1909-91) was a Minister of National Education and Minister of the Armies under French President Charles De Gaulle and founder of the Elf Aquitaine oil company in 1967.
