The procession arrives at the palace through the bazaar with its festive hangings and with bowing shopkeepers. They are met at the gates of the zenana by ladies and, inside the queens' quarters, the four brothers and Sītā bow before Kausalyā, Kaikeyī and Sumitrā. Even Kaikeyī is forgiven.
